Mr. Cecil Perera holds an Attorney at Law from Sri Lanka Law College. He also holds a Diploma Certificate on Modern Banking Law from the Postgraduate Institute of Management, University of Sri Jayawardenapura and have passed Part I & II, from the Chartered Institute of Management Accounts.

Mr. Perera Commenced his career as a junior counsel at the Chamber of Dunstan De Alwis, President’s Counsel. Thereafter he worked as a Professional Assistant at D N Thurairajah & Company. Later he joined The Finance Company PLC as a Legal Officer and as a Senior Legal Officer at L B Finance PLC. Thereafter he joined Merchant Bank of Sri Lanka PLC as the Head of Legal where he handled Corporate Advisory Services & Venture Capital Investments, Capital Market Services, Fund Management Services, Company Secretarial work, Leasing and Trade Finance work, Notarial work, Court Cases and Human Resource Management Legal work. In his career, he has worked as a Non-Executive Director at 99X Technology and as an Independent Non-Executive Director at Thilanka Hotels Limited. Prior to joining Abans Finance, Mr.Cecil Perera has completed 9 years of service at Commercial Credit and Finance PLC as the Chairman and Independent Non-Executive Director. Also Mr. Cecil Perera is the Founder and Precedent Partner of Legalinc. With 19 years of expertise in the areas of Commercial Transactions, Debt Instruments, Corporate Law, Intellectual Property, Corporate Recovery and Liquidations, Real Estate Conveyancing, Foreign Investment Advisory Services, Immigration Services, Labor Law and Information Technology.

Appointed as a Director and Chairman with effect from 1 January 2012. A member of the Remuneration Committee and the Chairman of the Nomination Committee of the Company.

A Director of Abans PLC. (Formally Abans (Pvt) Ltd). He is an alumnus of the executive management programmes at the Indian School of Business, focusing on strategy and managing family businesses. He supports relationship building with key international partners and has been instrumental in implementing several new strategic growth initiatives. He also holds directorships within Abans Group of Companies.

Hiran Embuldeniya is a co-founder and Managing Partner of Ironwood Capital Partners, a Private Equity fund base in Sri Lanka. Prior to returning to Sri Lanka in 2011, he worked for 10 years with Goldman Sachs Investment Banking Division in London and subsequently management consulting with McKinsey and Company in Dubai. He has advised several of the leading industrial companies in Europe on their most important transactions and helped define corporate strategies for several of the largest banks in the Middle East. Hiran holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and an MEng(Hons) from the University of Oxford.

A reputed business strategist and financial advisor with International experience in corporate wealth creation through investment, divestiture, capital raising and restructuring. +20 years of work experience in London, Melbourne and Colombo.

At present, Thulci is working closely with the Government of Sri Lanka to set up a Special Economic Zone (SEZ) within Port City to attract FDIs, promote export of services and ease of doing business. Prior to joining CHEC Port City Colombo Pvt Ltd, Thulci was the head of Mergers & Acquisitions at PwC, Sri Lanka and Maldives. He spent 14 years with PwC including PwC office in Melbourne and was involved in large cross boarder MNC transactions.

Thulci is an Economics graduate from the University of West London, UK and holds an MSc in Financial Economics from the University of Colombo.

Mrs. Ratnayake is a reputed Attorney at Law with a practice of over 27 years. She took Oaths in December 1993. Mrs. Ratnayake enrolled as an Attorney-at-Law in 1993 and was awarded a First Class Honors in the Final Year Examination by Sri Lanka Law College.

Mrs. Ratnayake entered University of Colombo in 1990. Mrs. Ratnayake joined the Attorney General’s Department in 1993 where she served for many years. She has since then been continuously in practice specializing in Civil Law, with an active practice in the District Courts, Commercial High Courts, Civil Appellate High Courts, the Court of Appeal and the Supreme Court, handling mostly cases of a commercial nature for corporate clients. She also has appeared in many Constitutional and landmark cases along with President’s Counsel and particularly the Constitutional Challenge to the dissolution of Parliament in 2018 for 12 Lawyer Members of Parliament. She has excelled in Chess at School & University being awarded Chess Colours and Championships and was listed in Sri Lanka Women’s National Pool with National Rating.

Mr. Sanjaya Bandara is a fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka and a fellow member of the Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT). He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accountancy & Financial Management from the University of Sri Jayewardenepura and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Colombo.

Mr. Bandara is a partner and the head of assurance of B.R De Silva & Co, Chartered Accountants and counts over 23 years of experience in practice.

Mr. Dharshan Silva holds an MBA with a merit pass from Cardiff Metropolitan University, (Where the final research was on determinants of NPL’s in finance leases of NBFI’s in Sri Lanka) and qualified as Registered Investment Advisor from Financial Services Academy (Division of SEC now known as CMET). He also holds a Diploma with distinction pass in Computer System Design from National Institute of Business Management, an Advanced Diploma from Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (UK), and a Certificate pass on Training of Trainers in Micro Finance (University of Frankfurt Germany). He also has attended many other local and overseas training / CPD programs.

Dharshan commenced his career as System Analyst Programmer at Merchant Bank of Sri Lanka Limited. Thereafter he worked as a Consultant to Management Information Systems (MIS) division at Development Finance Corporation of Ceylon (DFCC). Thereafter he has joined Commercial Leasing & Finance PLC (CLC) as a Credit Officer and over 13 years of career he finally resigned as Assistant General Manager – Asset Backed Finance, whilst adding many milestones to CLC history. He counts more than 33 years of experience in the financial services sector of which last ten years was in the capacity of Chief Operating Officer at Arpico Finance Company PLC and at Fintrex Finance Ltd (Formerly known as Melsta Regal Finance Ltd) respectively. Apart from his professional career at financial services sector he also has contributed to the sector as a lecturer in Credit Analysis and in Delinquency Management, through sessions conducted at Institute of Bankers in Sri Lanka.
